Lovely old Humber!
Could it be this be this one at Bonhams in 2009? A few things painted a different colour, and that bulldozer bumper system is different!

Clarkson reckoned the Mk2 Escort was one of the most beautiful designs, but you have to see it like this to appreciate it - most of them have been mucked around with by enthusiasts or modified for motorsport.

Re: Classic cars on the road
About 20 years ago an Uncle gave me his MK2 Escort 1.1 L in Beige as he was giving up driving and the local garage didn't want it. I knew it was pretty ropey but it had a couple of months MOT left on it. I drove it home and realised how bad it was.
I put it in for an MOT and the amount of rust and point's that needed fixing covered 2 side's of paper. . Needless to say I didn't bother as there was a lot of rust in suspension mount's and critical areas.
A local company who used to make rally cars came and looked at it and reckoned they could do something with it so they gave me £500 and I gave the money to my Uncle.
Like a lot of car's from this era you rarely see them these days.

Re: Classic cars on the road
Thankfully, the several days of heavy rain that preceded the pic would've washed the salt away. Hopefully. Cos I took advantage of the rare dry weather and took my own rust prone Ford.
Perhaps, just to be sure, I'd best pop out to the garage and make sure it hasn't dissolved.

No you're not. You're there, wherever there is.

Frankly Kees, Stephen, I don’t know where I am these days. I think I’m in Luxembourg but I could be wrong although there are a lot of Portuguese here which may explain the confusion.
