Originally Brienz blue with cream hood and magnolia interior. Not the first time that we have seen the headlight surrounds attached the wrong way around. What were they thinking?

Both radiator caps seem to be pressure caps marked as 21PSI (wow) if my eyes are not deceiving me. There are obvious signs that the car has boiled over and dumped rusty water everywhere. Hmm....there may be trouble ahead!

The wheels on mine were body-coloured. And mine’s a similar colour to this — Cerise (or close to it, given resprays in 1981 and 1996 that may well have drifted from the original).

When I had the wheels milled, polished, and painted in 2005 or so, I went with gloss black painted surfaces on the rims. Liked the choice then, and still do. Possibly, my issue with the rims on my car back when I got it was exacerbated by the headrest pillows which were also maroon. Every time I looked at the car, a voice in my head said “1975 Chevy Monte Carlo tribute.” So something had to go, and the rims went first. The pillows were replaced with tan ones soon after.

That said, I quite like the body-coloured wheels on this car. Perhaps the colour is just that much different than on mine and rests easier on the eye, but the wheels here don’t detract as mine painted cerise (or close to it) certainly did.

Sincerely,

Adam

Now also on ebay with an asking price of nearly £50k. Described as "brown exterior" and more interestingly "Safety belt pretensioners are included for added safety,"....really?????

Bid to only £23k...Reserve not met. The under bidder this time was "Quentin.....". I wonder if it was the well known enthusiast formerly of Top Gear fame?
