Festive pic

Post by Fat Roofer »

As I'm still restoring my interceptor, I thought I'd use our Christmas spruce to obtain my Jensen fix during the festive period.....

Great picture. It’s starting to feel like Christmas all over again (albeit not good news for my waist line)

It's only 357 days until Christmas.

To be honest, I only remembered to take the picture earlier as our tree is coming down tomorrow and thought I'd grab a couple of shots before it was put away.

Thanks, unfortunately I know exactly what you mean about the waistline! By boxing day I think I'd entered full Violet Beauregarde (from Charlie and the chocolate factory) mode and feared I might need an army of little people to roll me to the living room!! 🤣

And with regards to the fridge levels, our normal stock level is "empty", when you have a teenage son still living at home it's like living with Pac-man! He just seems to move from room to room eating anything in his wake! In actual fact, I might ask the wife not to do the food shop for a few days, it might save me a trip to the dump to get rid of the tree! 🤣

I was given a bottle of Cotswolds Whisky: the guy at the shop was told of our Jensen, and suggested it. The distillery is an hour south of West Bromwich. He himself used to have a P1800 and knew where they were built!

A nice Whisky, I enjoyed a glass or three at the Healey day at Stow on the Wold last year. The guy at the hotel said it was distilled in Bourton but looking on the web site it is actually just outside Shipston on Stour, where my dentist used to be :-)

Amyone else think 'Dry January' has been dragging on for far too long now?
