An Englishman's home is his castle.

Post by mikebyrne »

A new screen saver popped up[ on my laptop. Location is somewhere in the UK, Anyone know where ? Shetlands? I don't think you would get a Jensen up the drive, but possibly a motorbike.

Hi John,
thanks for the info. I like it, but I don't think I could get Val to move and I think getting the power and water companies to supply would be a very costly item.
I suppose a desalination-plant would work for the water, but carting cans of diesel up that path for the generator would be a chore. I doubt if the historic buildings people would let you install solar panels. The sort of place Mr. Bates of the Rough Towers would have liked.

As John says, Dunnattar Castle just south of Stonehaven on the East coast. Bet you could get an FF up there, but I think the steps may be an issue!!

You would get an FF up there Kev, spot on with that. There seems to be another road with disabled access. No charging point for EV's though.
