This time around, we have moved the event to Dorset and the Haynes International Motor Museum. Less than an hour from Portsmouth and other ferry ports, the weekend, or just the Sunday at The Haynes museum, is open to all Jensen enthusiasts, especially those with specific interest in the 541, 541Dl, 541R and 541S.
Provisionally, we have an outline of the programme as below – we will be working to add details to this over the next few months:
Friday 26th July: Meet and Greet for buffet meal in the Hotel available from 1930 to 2130. If you know in advance that you will be arriving late, alternative arrangements can be made.
Saturday 27th July - classic run, taking in local attractions, lunch and scenic drive.
Saturday 27th July Evening - Celebratory Dinner.
Sunday 28th July Drive to the Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford to celebrate en-masse with all types of Jensen being welcomed. Large reserved parking area and reduced entry charge to the museum. There is also a possibility (at extra cost) of pre booked Go Kart track racing if anyone is interested.
The Hotel package includes 2 nights Bed and breakfast, Friday evening buffet, Saturday celebratory dinner. The rate (for 2 people, 2 nights) per double or shared twin room is £418. The rate for single occupancy of a room is £320. There are a small number of family rooms also available, if required.
All hotel bookings can be made now, by telephone to the Royal Chase Hotel reception on 0044 (0)1747 853355. You will need to state that you are part of the Jensen 541 group. The hotel contact, in case of any problems, is Yasmin. You are urged to book as soon as possible to help us to plan for appropriate numbers throughout the weekend, but free cancellation is possible any time up to 72 hours before arrival. At this time it is not possible to book for this event on-line.
Please also let us know that you have booked so that we can keep track of numbers vs reserved rooms (initially 20 rooms have been reserved) etc.. - Jane and David Turnage
