intake and damper

Post by c.jensen »

i have a bone stock 383 on my C-V8 just finishing rebuild of, i was going to use the stock intake and damper, BUT maybe i should go with some upgrade stuff.

what intake is best for cruising speeds and most important, same height as the stock one ?

also the damper should i go for a fluid one or stock or ?

Keep the stock intake manifold.
If you want change the hight, all you get is the stock design cast into aluminium, not a big upgrade only saving a couple of kilograms on the front axle.

The edlebrock Perfoemer (Not the RPM which is taller) will fit ok on an Inerceptor, but check how much space you have on the CV-8. This will give a modest performance increase, and if you block the heat crossover a bigger increase.

Check the link below for details of performance engine rebuilds.
