On the road!

Post by CliffCV8 »

I’ve been taking 106/2108 (LHD prototype) on short drives to test its road-worthiness. Brakes still rough. Hoping they improve as 17 years or rust wears off the rotors. One of the mufflers is rusted and makes unpleasant noises, but replacements are on the way. Plus electrical gremlins and a possible fuel pressure problem.

Despite its various issues, it feels great to have it on the road. I’ve never taken a car from immobile to mobile before and it’s a great feeling.

Thanks. Not quite ready for Jensen East Nationals yet, but a boy can dream!

Very, very nice! Well done! Rare anywhere, but especially so in the States. Be prepared to answer a lot of questions wherever you go :D Some cars will approach you rapidly from behind, and you think they'll overtake, but they just want to have a closer look at the car :D

Thanks all for the kind words. These cars are rare enough in the south that I’ve never seen another one. I’ve actually never met another Jensen owner! This forum and the JOC have been invaluable to me.

Cliff you should try to make it to the Jensen Ease Nats even without the car. You will meet great people and have a blast! :)

Great info, thanks! It still has a cream interior with red piping, but it doesn't really match the green paint (which was supposed to have been Jaguar Opalescent Gray--long story). The interior is stained from water damage/storage, so I might dye it using Furniture Clinic's product before I bite the bullet and get it redone.
