That colour was "Silver Fox". You could cover the peeling roof with a vinyl roof, paint the bonnet a fashionable Matt black, but not much you could do for the bootlid.

As a schoolboy, I got taken around the company that supplied Ford with paints. In the lab, they boasted about the Ford connection, but when I brought up the subject of the peeling paint, we were hastily hustled into the next room.

That's funny! For some of us it's a 1000km drive one way, in our JENSEN
I hope you manage the return journey too Felix. And though a Jensen would devour such a drive with the same ease that it would devour petrol, and much as I enjoy it, the thought of such a distance in my Capri is not an appealing one.
But I do like the interesting alternatives event idea, that does appeal.
But in the meantime, here's looking forward to the International. It'll be my first since 2021; the drive home from which it turned out, fittingly, was the last time I drove my much missed Interceptor. But the club is about friends as much as cars. So, however we get there, here's looking forward to a beer at the bar - it's not just the cars that get thirsty. :D

The return journey was once a problem when I didn't refill the water  This year we'll be going to Dijon with the club, and to Italy with the C–V8 in the summer with my wife, hopefully. If I can convince her after we had the incident last summer in Genova, although we do have a new batttery now so we should be fine. So the International doesn't look realistic at the moment, unfortunately- as much as I'd love to be there. Plus we have something planned for 2024 where we'll probably be spending a few days this year touring around to organize that. And we hope that you will attend, it's probably something that is on many bucket lists.

Looking forward to the weekend.
Very happy if it is...I assume Saturday night is "black tie"?

The Saturday night is never "Black Tie".
It's just that some of us like the opportunity to dress up a bit and wear black tie.
It's nice to smarten up a little but the choice is yours.

Sorry about the delay in reply, we were at the Gawsworth Show (see photo), a great day for bonnets up and a beautiful Elizabethan Manor thrown in. Every year on May Day Bank Holiday, well worth a visit!

OK we will be sending a reminder out shortly, this will incorporate the menu choices for the dinner dance, you will appreciate that the kitchen could not cater for our numbers without having the meals pre-ordered.

Martin is correct, Black Tie is not a requirement but many choose to adopt formal dress. Posh frocks are of course acceptable, Richie do you have anything appropriate in your wardrobe? :D

Stupid sexy Flanders!

I wish Zac hadn't found a fix for posting images.

Everyone who has booked ought to have received and email inviting them to choose the dishes they wish for the dinner on Saturday, and asking for the balance for those members who paid a deposit.

If for some reason you haven’t received the message (probably a good idea to check “Junk”) please email me (International@joc.org.uk) and I will sort.

Looking forward to seeing everyone :D

I'll be driving in convoy with John from Holland on Friday morning, hoping to arrive just before lunch time to avoid the usual Friday traffic 8)
Due to going away very early on Monday, I'll have to get away soon after lunch on Sunday, but hope to see as many as possible :)
I'm planning to take my Metallic Fawn FF.
