I used this today cleaning some dirty trim parts, its like the middle of a Brillo pad without the wire wool and is pretty good at removing dirt without being too abrasive.
Ive had this tub for years now as a little goes a long way.

Re: Technical Tips
Hi all,
I came across this tip in one of my new Austin Healey restoration books. I fabricated (in other words "whittled") these small tools from thin PTFE/Teflon rods to look like a small screwdrivers. These can then be used to install tail and side lights and their chrome rings (Jensen 541 and Austin Healey) without scratching the paintwork. Please don't ask me how I know that using a screwdriver is not a good idea.
And if they break you can just "whittle" a new end!
Phil

Re: Technical Tips
Working to enhance the "original appearance" of my 1971 Mk. II with the correct Tyrenfire extinguisher/inflator. Secured the extinguisher and bracket, but the bracket was heavily pitted and corroded. Decided to try powder coating vs. cleaning and painting the bracket--very satisfied with how it turned out. A local shop did the work, and even though it was a small job, took great care. Here are the before and after photos.
