My Children stole the car! And visited Caffeine&Machine.
But what has anyone else been up to?

Are you sure they are yours? Did William Woollard hang around the house many years ago?

The pose is certainly incriminating.
All being well, tonight (Tuesday 12th July) I’m going to the Gaydon monthly classic car meet.Free but you still have to book tickets which is a little frustrating If you remember to late.

All my double-jabbed and triple-jabbed friends are getting sick. Some multiple times.
Canada is telling its citizens you're only up-to-date with your jabs if you've been jabbed within the last 9 months.
They're making a killing.

Saturday I was in the garage working on the Cortina, now have front passenger wing and door aperture stripped to bare metal, then sprayed in epoxy primer.
Sunday, at Weston Park with the Interceptor.
This Sunday I'll be at Redditch Arrow Valley leisure centre with the Jensen, plenty of water and an umbrella to keep the sun off.

Yesterday I took the GT to the test station to get a Dutch Registration. I had never driven the car more than a few meters, so it was nice to get this experience. It is a great car to sit in, low and sporty. Getting in and out of the car is the opposite of a modern SUV!
The test result was a fail but only on a couple of minor things. Happy to see the car is as good as the previous owner said it was.

Lovely GT, Dion.
In my case nothing. Returned from le Mans Sunday night, parked the car on the street near our house, and had semi flat tire the follwing morning. Waiting for new tires, I was planning to replace them this year anyway... Happy that I got home though without have to change tires.

Hmmm MOT Dion, very sensible thing to do. I’m working up to taking my interceptor 3, just need to sort out a couple more little things incl lights.for a hopeful pass. Always reassuring.
Today freed off seized rear brake calliper nipple using heat with reasonable turning force on ring spanner whilst gently hitting calliper with hammer untill nipple released. Took 3 goes and 15 minutes. Replaced with 3/8 X 24 stainless steel nipple. Meant I could finish flushing through the final bit of the brake system with new dot 4 brake fluid.

Hi Fekix, don't see a problem with that tyre, it's only flattish on the bottom, rest of it looks round so should be OK

We are once again straying into tech/my bleeding car territory. Steve, get up and show your authority. Alarming lack of activity on member weekends. Next property had thirty ton of shale delivered to his property on a very large B double. Driver drove straight onto land and whole lot bogged down. Will need a heavy duty tow truck and long chains to shift. It might rain tomorrow for a week according to BOM.Kenny38
Re: What did you do with your car today/weekend?
If you are going to bin your old tyres (and pay for them to be recycled etc), we would happily give them a long retirement. Can collect in Zurich area. Our Jensen has spent too long under a tarp and the tyres have rotted. Would be good to have some with genuine Le Mans provenance! Completely understand if you have similar plans for them, wouldn't want to see them in the bin though.Kevin Birch wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 9:05 am Hi Fekix, don't see a problem with that tyre, it's only flattish on the bottom, rest of it looks round so should be OK

Re: What did you do with your car today/weekend?
I can't deny this is "bleeding car territory" as someone has literally pictured replacing the bleed nipple on their Interceptor. However, we are big boys on this forum and like to live dangerously. I think we can be laid-back enough to deal with some topic overlap.
I fed your message into the Oz translator, and found out that a B double is an articulated truck with two fifth-wheel pivots, as opposed to A frame connection. It is not a road-train, which is one of the few Aussie specialties we know about in the UK! And the BOM is the Bureau of Metrology, known in the UK as the Met Office.

Back to the original topic:
We will have "Cars'n'Coffee" tomorrow morning (Sunday) in Dresden.
Here is the venue, an old gas works area.

Unfortunately not with a Jensen but I will be able to show at least two German cars.
More pictures tomorrow.
