Oldsmobile Toronado: huge engine, front wheel drive.
Yes, that's the one. Crazy front. It went well, but judging by the wheels and the driver the engine may have been optimizized slightly :D

The standard engine is a 455 cubic inch with tons of HP and torque! That's a 1970. :)

Impressive, but nothing to keep a C-V8 awake at night :D

Hi all

I took my Jensen to The Goat at Hertford Heath yesterday (near Hertford)
The first Sunday of the month for all Classics

I was promoting that my car will be 50 years old next month and in September i will have owned it for 45 years

Good to meet up with Adrian and Albert from the Essex Area - on an excursion

Plenty of interest in the car

Regards

The Saturday of the International, I finally got the engine and 'box back in the Cortina, it was only 36 years ago I took it out  The weekend before I completed the build, most of it spent getting the cam timing spot on with dial gauge, protractor and vernier cogs. It'll be a while before I run it, but it does look good in the space it is supposed to occupy rather than on the floor. :D

Spent Sunday polishing, waxing, detailing a friend's 1981 Scirocco (as a Birthday present), together with him. It's their semi-daily driver with 250'000km, his wife almost cried when she saw the car after we were done :D

I was adding leg room to improve my….er, Volvo 240 driving experience.

OK, hands up, I finally got around to repairing the passenger seat inner bolster on my 240 saloon.

Just the driver’s seat to tackle: replace seat base foam (luckily I found 2 in the loft) and swap, via the trimmers, a spare passenger seat back cover to get rid of a couple of mouse nibbles (it spent 13 years in a barn).

Popped down to a local meet this evening, there was a nice cv-8 in attendance that caught my eye..... unfortunately I did not get a chance to speak to the owner, but if they are on here then feel free to let them know that I thought their car was lovely!

Well, if it is his, its a lovely example of a used classic (which is always my preference over a garage queen!)

Yes, that's mine. Used, abused, and neglected in favour of No 88. I had new steering rack gaiters fitted today so the front end was in the air and I had a look underneath, there is some rot in the drivers side toe box, and not a lot of paint or underseal on the chassis at the front. I'm sure it wasn't like that the last time I looked...
