Hi I am rebuilding a 440 engine and have purchased a full gasket set from MR , My question is when fitting the cylinder heads should I use a Sealant with the Head gasket are not ?
If Yes what do you recommend,

Head gaskets go on with nothing applied to them.

I would second that, assuming this is the composite type gasket type, a blue Felpro one which are pretty dependable.
Grant mentioning copper exhaust manifold gaskets, and Alan Millyard making his own for motorcycles, got me thinking, there are various alternatives out there, a google showed me that copper and steel shim (as original), both those types are proven in racing. So we would be able to keep Jensening even if things like gaskets went out of production!
