Just noticed some nice Jensen parts for sale on ebay for those with deep pockets.

The tool roll does not appear to be an original but a more recent quality copy, an original should have a pattern backing as shown

It is an original and not a modern copy.
Jensen produced a couple of different designs and the early ones did have a patterned backing. Have a look at the REJEN website for a modern copy.

The Images i have posted are the original large and small tool rolls from my July 1973 MK3 "J" type, with a patina consistent with their age. We may have to agree to differ on this, the Ebay item was of slightly different design to the Rejen copy, my originals and the parts manual schematic, it also did not appear to have any real age on closer inspection. I do not profess to have an encyclopedic knowledge of all things Jensen, may be a JOC Concours Judge may be able to throw some light on our deliberations? I can no longer find this item offered for sale on Ebay
