Re: E10 Petrol
In Australia ethanol has been added to standard unleaded since the mid 2000's with a cap of 10%. Regular unleaded is 91 RON, E10 is 94 RON, and premium grades are 95 RON and 98 RON at a much higher pricepoint. In addition to Jensens I run old Rovers/Landrovers/Range Rovers and have used E10 since its introduction with no adverse effects. I did have to change the diaphrams in a Rover 105's HD6 carbysa few years ago as the old ones were very stiff but that could have been due to age rather than fuel. In terms of both my Jensens they seem to run just as well on any of the petrol grades so I tend to use E10 to do my bit for the environment - and again no adverse effects from many years of using E10. My C-V8 is dual fuel using LPG/CNG and slightly less powerful on gas - but the oil stays super clean between changes!
