Interceptor from 1967 (Sincar built) for sale:
117 - 2595 is for sale, Swedish registration: HRC 963.
The car is partly stripped down and parked since 1986, the interior being stored indoors and safe since then.
The chassis is in acceptable state but work needs to be done.

For details / images etc, please contact the current owner:
Thord Hall, Sundsvall, Sweden
email: sundsvall.audio@telia.com

Background: the guy who had bought it in 1986, had been planning for a quick restauration but got seriously ill and died, the current owner inherited the car from his friend, but had to realise that he has neither room nor time to restore the car. It is stored in partly disassembled state, the interior has been stored indoors all the time.
In the context of our research on Jensens in Sweden, Thord asked if we could help with spreading the information - so here it is!

I still find it astonishing where these things appear from. 34 years stored away!

Well if you have a big enough shed and do not want or care to sell the car, why not? I have a couple of cars in the shed that have been there for 25+ years. One day.... you know the drill.
But interesting to see an early LHD surfacing!

That is true Dion. I myself have one tucked away, bought in the mid '90s. One day..... well, we can dream I know.

Yes, all those projects in our sheds. Dreams and nightmares. And some really great rides...

This one comes with a lot of story: not only in regard to its production history with Sincar etc. Personal stories, too: according to the current owner, the original restauration looked like a straight enough job, but the then owner got seriously ill while he was at it. He recovered, they started building a garage, but he needed to get his life organsied, so the project was on ice. Then he died and the car was passed on to his friend, who moved the car to his garage. But space is scarce and so parts have been stored in the garage and different places. And, as said, the interior was luckily stored indoors and safe during all these years.
But the car needs to be taken care of rather sooner than later, now. And the owner can't do it himself, so the car is to be passed on.

That is something that is striking with our little research into Jensen cars in Sweden: some of the cars are so interwoven with their owner's biographies, so much about people's lifes is connected to the cars. As you know, cars are passed on ideally at some point and the stories continue...

And according to the list of cars and registrations, there are quite some long-running Jensen projects sitting in Swedish garages. Some were imported as donor cars, but for example one of those is reported to be put back on the road rather soon, now (after about 20 years and a little more.) Those sheds, again...

Got some images of the car as in current state. Hope, it makes it easier to assess the potential of the car : )

Great to see the pictures!

I see your car has the same mistake that my car has: engine number on the chassis number plate. What were they thinking? Also interesting to see the engine number of your car is just one before mine, while the chassis number is more apart (2595 vs 2610). Even more strange seeing the fact that 2595 was delivered in April 67 and 2610 in July 67. They must have sat alongside each other at Vignale's place for quite some time.

Richard Calver's Original Interceptor book documents that all Sincar vehicles had the engine number stamped on the engine bay plate. No explanation or suggestion why this is so.

There is no correlation between the sequence order of

Vignale body number
Chrysler engine number
Jensen chassis number
Date of completion
Date of sale

Each car is what it is.

And a few more images. Including another sign, unfortunately only its backside, but one can read the chassis number anyway : )

For more images, please contact Thord Hall, he is located in Sundsvall, Sweden.
He dug through boxes and sheds and tried to take stock and pictures. But he is no Jensen-expert and is not sure about what goes where on the car after all these years, if I understand correctly.
