Looks very nice. If I had the money and space I'd have one. Didn't realise they were redlined at 7,000rpm though. That's impressive.

You have to rev that engine. In my (admittedly heavily modified) GT, power output peaks at 7,000rpm.

On a separate note, Richard Calver's database notes that 30055 was delivered to Australia and built to Australian specification. I wonder what that means?

A well travelled car then if it's back here. At least 23,000 miles more than on the odometer!

It means the corduroy / velour on the seats was made tougher to withstand the pet kangaroos, Wombats and Koalas that were expected to be carried in the car...

It's actually the previous chassis number 30054 that was the sole Australian delivered GT. According to a previous owner, that car was last heard of in Queensland after being involved in a front end shunt. It had the same colour scheme as 30055. Apart from having Stromberg carbies, not sure if the Australian spec had any other differences to the home market cars.

Sorry yes, my mistake, it was indeed 30054. Thanks for picking that up Dave!

Was this the same car on car and classic for £18k a few months back?
