Southern Area and May 22nd Meeting

The following letter has been distributed to all of the JOC Southern members that are on the JOC database.

Dear JOC Member,
You are receiving this communication because you are listed on the JOC database as a current JOC member residing in Hampshire, Dorset or Wiltshire. . We are working with a list generated some time ago and know that there are members in our Area not on the list, so please forward this note on to anyone you think might be interested in the new JOC Southern Area. If you wish to be removed from this list for any reason please just let us know.
The Southern Area is now being jointly run by Edward Brown and Phil Fish.
We are keen to reestablish a local group representing Jensen Owners in Hampshire, Dorset or Wiltshire. We have three aims: sharing technical expertise within the area; bringing like-minded Jensen enthusiasts together; and promoting the JOC and Jensen cars within the Southern Area.
We want to set up a regular monthly meeting and in our first year have representation at two key events in both Dorset and Wiltshire: Classic and Supercars, Sherborne Castle – Sunday 15th July 2018 LINK https://www.joc.org.uk/forum/viewtopic. ... 02&t=27366" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and the Castle Combe Autumn Classic (organised and led by the Wessex Area) – Saturday 6th October 2018
In time we would like to organise visits to various Jensen or Classic Car specialists within our Area such as: Rejen, Culverland Classics, Twyford Moors, Cropredy Bridge, Bill Rawles Classic Cars, Rawles Motorsport. These are examples only, none have been contacted yet and this will depend on the level of support we can generate, but we’re keen to make things happen.
We share a keen interest and enthusiasm for the Jensen marque, but also have other classic cars so envisage a group where we can provide opportunities for JOC members to experience different vehicles and share wider knowledge.
To kick things off we propose our inaugural meeting on Tuesday 22nd May 7.00 pm at the Northbrook Arms, Stratton Lane, East Stratton, Winchester, Hampshire SO21 3DU.

We do hope you can support the Southern Area. At that first meeting all attendees will receive a bound collection of comprehensive technical Interceptor articles that we’ve collated from various sources and should provide a valuable and informative resource. We hope to expand this resource further and add other Jensen models in time. This first meeting will be an important opportunity for you to shape the future direction of the Area and the activities we undertake.
