Haflingers are a common sight here, not long ago I came across an outing of a couple of them.

Too easy? (Our daughter had to wrap something for an school art project, I tried to get her to choose another object- not involving me- but she insisted. Thankfully she/we didn't have to wrap the whole car. Andi responded that maybe Jensen should have never unpacked the car :D )

Anybody got any idea what this is? A friend forwarded it to me asking if it was a real car, looks genuine, there were some strange ideas in the middle of the last century.

Saw one of these at the NEC show in 2022. It was primarily an invalid car, although it was also marketed at "the little lady" to go shopping.

To add to what Stephen says, as our posts have overlapped, it's a Larmar microcar, made between 1948 and 1951 in Ingatestone in Essex by the Larmar Engineering Co. Ltd. It's USP was that it was narrow enough to fit through a standard British garden gate so you could drive it up the garden path and park it outside of your front door, handy for unloading the shopping. As Stephen says there was one at the NEC in 2022 and I photographed it then, that's why I remember what it is.

For those that like a Micro Car there is a museum of them in Lincolnshire, well worth popping in if you are that way.

Thanks all, I knew somebody would have an idea. If you like strange vehicles, visit the SPWCC stand at the NEC Resto show, we will have a Reliant Prince regent on show. 3 wheeler with Austin Seven running rear, done out in period as a painter & decorator's van.

....Asking because I don't know the answer myself...and I'm curious!

Pic taken in Cable St, E1, made infamous by the 'Battle of Cable St' whereby a planned march by Sir Oswald Mosley's blackshirts was repelled.

I'm trying to date the photo, does anyone recognize the year of the Chevy Malibu (I think that is what it is)?
