I am but sometimes wish I wasn't. Do you think he gets much enjoyment from driving them. Looks like he couldn't get a chosen one out easily and also wonder how often they come out in the rain?

These days he is an exception to a rule.

Will all those bankers please form an orderly queue please.

In 2009, the dentist was removed as CEO for excessive expense claims.

Trevor Pyman, 112/2379, who has very sharp eyes, has pointed out that there is a C-V8 in this collection. Trevor is looking at a photo in this months Classic and Sports car which I haven't seen but in the general photo in the Daily Mail article (first post in this thread) I can see the C-V8 now Trevor has told me where to look, far left, right at the back.

Unfortunately I have no idea which one it is.

The article about the collection (535 cars!) in the latest issue of Classic and Sports Car (Aug 2014 cover date) has one photograph having a microscopic glimpse of the CV8, though it does get mentioned in the photo caption. No other information about it, but the article states that “each one is in some way exceptional, whether via its condition, mileage, rarity when new, scarcity now or previous ownership”. Wonder what the criterion there was. Fingers crossed that the collection stays intact and goes on show somewhere.

Just imagine what 500+ classic cars coming onto the market would do to values.
It's therefore in his interest to try and get a single buyer.
Tales of large collections of 100 and more abound and equally I wonder how that's distorted values by removing them from the market on a long term basis?
More power to his elbow for keeping them in top condition and all the employment that must entail.

I agree Barry. If these cars were released onto the market(particularly the Jags) in ,say,a huge auction event,it could effect the market in no possitive fashion. I hope that the Doctor has a dream that his collection will become something of national importance, which could happen...look at the two brothers who bought most of the Bugattis, now forming the finest museum of french auto production. If the Coventry auto crowd got behind this,we could end up with tha most amazing place,in the Midlands, where it all started.

"He was devastated in 2006 when vandals broke into one of his warehouses, before hotwiring the Jaguars and crashing dozens of them. Police later said they had 'treated the cars like dodgems'."

I suppose he was lucky that they didn't torch the whole lot.

Looks like a Mk3. Cant see any chrome trim (Cow horns) round the bonnet / headlights and the 4 headlights look the same size.
