Lets sound off our general location and car of affiliation..

Tim......middle Georgia.......1974 Interceptor...Tangerine paint..

Recent purchase...appears the car has sat some 25 years in a garage..thankfully with the tires off the concrete..solid but will need some cosmetics..have been told there is another within 40 miles of me..was expecting to meet him at the last swap meet...did not materialize though.

Alaska. '71 MKIII with 383. Sat 25 years in a scrap yard. :( Looking to bring it back to life as a daily driver. It won't be pretty, but then neither am I. :D

I also have a '72 MKIII with no motor which I'm also going to try and get back on the road. Eventually. It's probably in slightly worse condition having also sat around in a scrap yard for 20+ years.

Kieron....expat Brit, now in northwest Michigan......July 1967 interceptor RHD, originally owned by director of The Beatles' films and some of the Superman films.....same issue on cosmetics.....had a colour matched repaint by previous owner, but otherwise mostly original and shabby chic with all the crispiness and bubbles on the metal and paint you'd otherwise see in a Kellogg's Rice Crispies box!

Scott from western New Jersey. I found a '56 541 in someone's backyard and eventually became owner. She needs restoration but overall all the pieces are there so I am saving for the restoration. I attended the jensen nationals east meet up last year in West Virginia..it is in Wisconsin this year.mheld in May. Anyway nice to see some life in the North American forum.

Hey scott. Was that the 541 on bringatrailer? With, i think, a spade or something similar with it? I'd absolutely love a 541 so i'm very jealous. Good to see you here.

Where do i go to get details about the national meet? It's just a small hop across Lake Michigan for me and i'd love to make the trip.

That was another 541 (a manual S) that was bought by dktoyz who is on this forum:
Yes I have rescued the 541S Manual car. It is in process of restoration. Engine is out and being rebuilt. This will be a long haul but being one of only 17 known now I feel worth it. Open to any and all communication with other 541 enthusiasts with information.

Hi
Patrick in Montreal JOC Member 9782,{ possibly the last Anglo in Quebec if our Dear Leader and her gang of zealots has her way }
Owned by Monty Python a 1971 Interceptor II VIN 125 -5289. I bought MP in Houston 4 years ago . It's essentially rust free , straight and was modified by the previous owner to be
" a dependable long distance GT capable of living in a Houston summer" This involved redoing the A/C and dashboard , new black on white instruments [ which work ]lots of sound and heat insulation and a great deal of attention to bling items chrome and ss , refurbished wheels and interior , complex Alpine stereo etc .
Any 40+ year old British car is always a work in progress , MP demands continuous investment of time and $$s , but is a much more practical car than the E type Jaguar coupe I owed before
My sons declared that The Jag was " sex on wire wheels ,but MP is " Automotive porn" My wife says the Jensen is the first of the many old old cars I have owned that she loves.
MP will never satisfy an anorak Concours enthusiast , but it's a great summer driver and a major head turner at local shows .
Patrick

Hi Ron. Here's the website for Jensen East 2014:

Glad to hear that the That the 541 on BaT is being restored.

Hopefully there will be a 541 in Wisconsin this year...if so it won't be mine unfortunately :-(

Scott

Thanks Scott. I may forego the nationals but do the "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" meet instead at the Gilmore Museum, just outside Kalamazoo, Michigan, in July if anybody else is interested. Would be nice to get a respectable showing there. Apparently it's a big event.

New Guy here.
Jim G. in Aurora, Colorado.
After looking for 20 years finally found a 1973 Interceptor III about 2-miles from my house.
Bought it about 3-weeks ago.
Been driving it a little bit, but it is a work in progress.
I just posted a bunch of info in the cars for sale section when I found the old E-Bay listing for the car.

Have two of the beasts : 76 Interceptor Convertible, all good except needs a paint job (local references welcome!). Wanted one since I was a kid long, long ago and finally found her 2 years ago.
74 Saloon, bought from original owner, modified drivetrain and drives like a dream!

New to this forum, today I posted pictures of my car, I am located in Illinois and have a 1971 MKII Interceptor in the body shop getting a face lift and interior. Found very little rust but a ton of Bondo, har has 47,000 miles on it but the body condition did not compliment this car at all.
