cv8 mkIII 112/2454
I brought my interceptor (140/8732) in to have the engine rebuilt earlier this year. 4 months later the work was completed, the mechanic took the car for its final test drive and the engine went up in flames. you can imagine what that felt like.
luckily I then stumbled across this car (thank you joerg for passing her on). rather than investing much time and money into interceptor which I would have had to sell when SEA770 is completed, I decided to try something different. the interceptor (a great car) is now at kreisman, waiting to be repaired.
I picked 112/2454 up at joerg's, drove her back (700km of autobahn, sunshine, no traffic- life doesn't get much better than this), took her to andi kreis' garage in glarus where he did quite a bit of work on her and had her inspected- a big, big thank you to andi. before being with joerg, hartmut jungnickel had owned her for forty years (!), and took great care of her. not concourse, but in very good order and running very well. can't wait until spring!

Lowered CV8 with wider rims and big bore exhaust will in the future be the "Kreis Style " cars
Enjoy!!
Joerg
..but I loved the Dunlop wheels on that car:
....nearly unique. Only the CV8 that apears on ebay today has them, first time that I have seen these wheels on another CV8.

The top one if the old sticker to match the old format club radiator badge / logo.
When I took over regalia (2002?) there weren't any more of the old stickers and I introduced the one to match the new club logo.
I think the lower sticker is one of the American ones, either from Delta Motorsports or K&D. I think Delta do / did a range of clocks etc with this type of image.

Re: cv8 mkIII 112/2454
2454 was the first CV8 ever registered in Germany. The first owner was Lord Gardener. The car was imported by his neves a well known journalist after his dead.
There was no German Jensen importer before the Interceptor was introduced. Hartmut bought the car from a used car dealer where the former owner traded the car in because he wanted a faster car (!!).
Felix is the 5th owner - and I had the car only for a couple of weeks ( bought it because I could not imagine to travel to the 50th without a CV8 ) days later I had the opportunity to by the Hemiceptor and that made the decision easier to give 2454 in good hands.
2371 is now on the fast lane back to the road and rebuilt will be finished this year.

Re: cv8 mkIII 112/2454
The second owner was Axel Thorer, Germany (that is all the Register says).
So Lord Gardener, Axel Thorer, Hartmut, Jeorg (briefly) and now Felix. Original (UK) registration KUL 50D
But, I have a list of first owners and that says R.P.F Smallwood, though I don't know what that means (a name or the name of the car dealer that first sold the car?). The Register says "1. Lord Gardener".
Regards
John

Re: cv8 mkIII 112/2454
A Google search has found that an R.P.F. Smallwood was director and general manager of the Commercial Union Group of Companies in the mid-1960s, which would tie in well with the ownership of such a fine car. (Commercial Union were one of the biggest Insurance companies in Britain).

Re: cv8 mkIII 112/2454
1 year of ownership! what a great, great car! this specific one and the C-V8 in general! 1st outing with my wife in the car last weekend down to como:
she wasn't really happy about taking the C-V8 and mentioned that if something happenend our children would be orphans. once in the car she improvised a seatbelt for herself using her scarf! but then, after having passed through the gotthard tunnel (16 kilometers long, not the best air in the tunnel- some complaining) we were in the italian part of switzerland- the sun was shining and she began to relax and enjoy the ride. on the way back (it even snowed) I noticed that she didn't bother with her homemade seatbelt and even took a nap.
after this years international john from holland and I passed by west bromwich
