Another dodgy ebay advertisement.

This car belongs to a forum member and this advertisement is clearly spurious.

I reported one last Sunday that was removed in a few hours

If I'd thought about it, I should have found out more about the
seller!

Why dont we make an effort to trace the culprits and have
them removed for good

Surely EBay can monitor IP addresses aswell as user names

Just a thought

Shouldn't Ebay have a proof of ownership system in place for high value items that would necessitate a deposit? the ID says only registered a few days ago.

Be funny to turn up at their house in the car they are selling with the Police in tow!

I have had a reply from a girl name Sarah, she sounds very nice. Regrettably the Interceptor is all the way up in Scotland however she is willing to have it delivered to my door for the £6,000 purchase price. What a result! I have informed the lovely Sarah that I have the money burning a hole in my pocket and await her further instructions.

You'd better snap it up quick as it is also on Gumtree:

I have reported this too.

I have no such fears Stephen, I'm developing quite a rapport with Sarah now. Her English is rather poor, I assume that's because she's from Scotland. She's just asked for my delivery address. I've given her the address of 341 Bournville Lane, Bournville, Birmingham B30 1QX. I used to work there years ago. I thought she'd feel at home there because it's a nick and is full of villains. I am awaiting further instructions.

This is how the sneaky thieving schysters do it, they send this page that looks like it's from ebay but in fact it's a copy. Note the e-mail address that it was sent from. Anyone who knows me will realise that my son worked this scam out.

This email has come from Anguilla. You know, the Anguilla with Gateshead as its capital.

Paul if you are struggling, I can act as an interpreter or I might even be able to "view" it for you.

That is very nasty. It will more than likely put off real buyers from trusting the real advert :(

I guess real wording with words such as "we will NOT use Western Union or similar" and "we will not sell sight unseen" or even "I speak English as my first language and know how to spell, ring me with any questions!"

Maybe even note the starting price or "buy it now" price in words in the text....

I guess even then, some scamming b****rd will try it on....
