Intake Manifold (Again)

Post by Kevin Kober »

Can anyone remind me; Square or spread bore?
Which Edelbrock is most suitable for a 383 (1971 FF Mk2)?
Retro-fitted with a 1406 Edelbrock Carb.

While an Edelbrock 1406 is considered a square bore carb I do believe they have a double drilled base (for carb studs) and can fit either manifold.
What was the original intake? If it's a 2951666 it should be a square bore, but that doesn't mean you need to replace it with a square bore.... it's what you want that matters.
