So far on my Int 3 I have had a custom dash made. This was done by taking a fibreglass mould from a dashboard and having it painted to match the centre console/switch panel wood effect. I must say its come up really well. I know of about 3 cars that have had this treatment and of those 2 of them have made the mistake of not allowing the mould to flow into the instruments. The result is that you notice the black vinyl behind the dash.Mine looks as if it were hewn from from a solid peice of wood. Ive also got around the problem of front seatbelt guides ( a la interceptor S4 ) this was done when the car was being reupholstered and was simply done by looping a piece of metal round and covering it with leather then fixing it to the underside of the headrest. This saves a lot of time trying to refabricate an S4 part to fit a MkIII seat.Other mods include brighter illumination bulbs as stated in one of the Torque Mag. These have a sleeve this allows them to glow a nice blue colour. Also just had the wheels done by THE WHEEL SPECIALISTS they look absolutely gorgeous but I've modded them and had the sides of the spokes polished and the inserts powder coated in anthracite. They look a little like Rover P5 rostyles and have a bit more bling when they spin I will be posting picture on another thread about wheels.
Future plans include an engine / gearbox rebuild. Any recomendations on a 4 speed box ?I am also looking into upgrading the rear suspension and do away with the leafsprings does anyone have any advise on this.I cant stump up enough for an interceptor S conversion though.

Are you getting better MPG ?bobclevenger wrote:If you want a four-speed gearbox the Chrysler A-833 as fitted to some of the MkI Interceptors is difficult to beat.
Do you have to modify the box or anything to fit an A-833.What's the best place to supply/fit one..Am I better off getting one from the states ?
I am trying to sort out some pictures but having trouble sorting out this photobucket malarkey.
Your help would be gratefully appreciated

Thanks CrAzYMoPaRGuY. I caught that the first time round.CrAzYMoPaRGuY wrote:See the first post in this thread...Barrie wrote:Where did the dashboard come from?
I've never see one on an early-ish Interceptor.

My question was badly phrased. More specifically who made the dashboard as in
"I have had a custom dash made...."
I'll be more specic next time.

It IS a pretty unique look.... pretty impressive someone could THINK of doing it, let alone pull it off!Barrie wrote:Thanks CrAzYMoPaRGuY. I caught that the first time round.CrAzYMoPaRGuY wrote:See the first post in this thread...Barrie wrote:Where did the dashboard come from?
