engine oil

It seems the "synthetic vs conventional oil" debate is looming, but what about the zinc issues? I'm more concerned about my cam lobes than anything with today's oils....

I've always ran high volume pumps in 440s and 1/2" pickup tubes with enlarged block passages, I have trouble running 20/50 oils because the oil pressure is pretty high at lower rpm levels, I switched to 10/30 on some of the higher pressure engines I've ran. 50psi at idle when hot and 85 when wound up past 3000rpm isn't great for the intermediate shaft among other things...
