Techno Classica 2025 in Essen, Germany

Post by Jens »

Folks, it's the time of the year I send out the invitation to participate at the largest classic car show on the continent, the Techno Classica in Essen.

As always we will have a 120sqm stand in Hall 6, as always i am looking for 4-5 cars to be shown.

Stand motto this year will be "Used and Abused" so instead of perfectly restored and shiny blinking cars I am looking for Jensens with a history. Cars that have done rallys, have never been restored, or are changed from the original to fulfill a special purpose.

If you own something like that (or know of such a car) and are willing to show it to a greater public: here is your chance.

Send me an email, give me a ring and we will see what we can do. Or post a picture of your car here.

The first car on the stand will be Serge Berthiers Inca-Taril and Peking-Paris participating Interceptor.

Hi Jens

I can bring the C-V8. It would be a good test run for the Baltic Rallye. And I'd feel reasonably comfortable showing the car under this motto :) Let me know if you need the car.

That's already two very good vehicles for the motto. I like them. I can't contribute anything interesting in terms of vehicles, but I'm happy to make myself useful again. Here's to one last time in the tried and tested manner, then we'll see what a new trade fair concept means.

Excellent! If you find a more used and abused, less pretty C-V8, you can always let me know :D (but I doubt it will be faster, Andi has done a great job this summer in sorting various niggles out. The car is as angry as never before :D )

I'm not sure if I can bring the C-V8: the dates may collide with me bringing the car to Andi to have the rear axle sorted. Techno Classica is April 9th-14th, and spring break for Andi is April 3rd-21st :( I'll get back to you ASAP

I've never read you angry before :) Maybe Andi- if he can do the car then- can get the it finished by the 8th. It would make sense to get a backup car, in case the C-V8 is not ready. I was advised not to do any extended driving (roundtrip from ZH 1'300 kms) with the whining diff, so would make sense to tackle the rear axle beforehand. I'm also still trying to make the Baltic Sea Circle rallye, so the Essen trip would be a good test. When exactly do you need me there- Tuesday evening?
