The greatest colour combination of all FF (maybe apart of Special Orange with Jet Black roof :-) ). I would have done 139 in the colour, but we found the orange under the dash and that left me without any choice.

I dont blame you for wanting to keep the original colour Joerg, I love the black roof against the Orange on your FF.
Although mine was originally Stratosphere Blue which is a nice colour, I didnt want another Blue car and I have always liked this colour scheme especially with a Red interior.

Made a small start this weekend after getting the car on the ramp the temporary wheels were removed and the front suspension cage was fitted along with the top and bottom arms.
A few other refurbished bits were bolted on here and there as I need few parts to complete the front suspension so will need to order them.

The FF top balljoint looks especially nice in that photo of the suspension. The early cars were steel, the later ones had that nice casting, presumably brass or bronze. Now it has been cleaned up and preserved you can see the quality of the factory welding work on the chassis in the FF inner wheel arch area. The front suspension and drive layount is one of the most beautiful parts of the FF design, it is going to be very pleasing to see that in its full glory once more when it is finished. It must have been a very satisfying job building FFs at Jensen. The interior looks so nice as well in the earlier pictures. This is turning into a gorgeous car.

Ive tried to keep work progressing even if its just ½ an hour at the end of the day cleaning and painting small parts.

I put aside a full day today and got stuck in fitting up the front end, it may seem a bit early to do this but I find it spurs me on to see some shiny bits bolted to the car and all the parts were new or refurbished ready to fit so it gets them out of the way.

Hi, Dave!

I understand what you mean about doing some jobs just because of their motivational force. This looks just lovely. A day in your garage by you is a very different day than for me in my garage -- yet is just as motivating; patience, practice, precision, and perseverance. Just lovely.

Sincerely,

Adam

Congratulations Dave, the chrome looks very good on those bumpers and side lights. I also like the period number plate. Looking forward to seeing the front and side grills and bonnet trim in a future post!
