Not a European event but an JOC International event held in Germany.

Colin,

Your question is the $64,000 dollar one!

The year is ticking away, we are already 5 months into it.

The stuff I am involved with is progressing but I cannot comment on other issues.

I did suggest the show near Malvern but there didn't seem to be much interest.

Our international meeting is approaching day by day. I guess meanwhile most of you finished the trip preparations in terms of the mainland europe energy certification. I was lucky to pass it in the first attempt and got it on April 1st. 😇

Has anyone developed a list of spare parts that it makes sense to carry, if left to my own devices, I will be strapping the 4 post lift on the roof.

That was my thought as well. I guess that is because of the high Testarossa population in the south east aka Rosamunde Pilcher country.

I would suggest most of the ignition components including a couple of the longest lead's, a fuel pump with a meter of fuel pipe. I suspect one car will need an alternator. Top and bottom hoses and a length of pipe to bypass the heater core. Some electrical wire, tape and tie wraps. Some instant gasket together with a selection of tools. You could take a lot more but like any of these things where do you stop.
I suggest you check the spare tyre actually has some air and pay for continental cover.

Get a cheap electronic fuel pump together with fuel hose, electrical wire and connectors. Do not forget fuses, plenty of them.

I knock on wood, give the car a kiss (only when nobody is looking), and turn the ignition. Sometimes I remember to check oil, water and tire pressure.

That is the most important couple of items. I think you're unlikely to need anything else. If you do need something Fedex should be able to get it to you overnight (except at weekends). On all the international trips I've done in a Jensen the only spare I've actually needed is a propshaft to replace the new one that failed after just 900 miles. Not impossible to need something else but we all went to Dresden in 2017 and we all got back. I think the only thing needed was a replacement coil on a C-V8 that failed in Prague.

Except me :D the exhaust manifold broke apart. Also had an alternator give up in Genova, but managed to drive home without alternator.

I would expect that 90% of the cars will have either a Chrysler or Lotus engine and if anyone gets stuck another member may have a part to help them out.

One thing I carry is a spare radiator cap as its surprising how often you can remove one to check the water level and it refuses to seal again when refitted. They are very cheap and I ordered 3 more today as I had used my last one.
