What did you do with your car today/weekend?

I went to Giks for Breakfast on Drive it Day, a good breakfast but as you say parking is limited, like Caffeine and the Machine these places are becoming very popular, there is a new one on the A40 near Eynsham called Kingsley Cafe, it does not seem to matter what time of day you pass it always seems to be busy. Caffeine and Machine are now charging for parking at weekends because of the popularity.
As City's become no go zones for older cars venues and destinations like this will become more popular, I know of one car club had complaints that Ace Cafe was being used for an annual meet up because it is inside the ULEZ zone and some of the newer cars are not yet exempt.

On Drive It day did a run with my local club after breakfast at a rather good hostelry, an 18 mile drive through the country, and we ended up at Daniel's Mill at Bridgnorth. The car park was tight with 25+ classics from 30's through to 90's in attendance.

Joined 89 others ( though sadly no Jensens) on the "Wye Valley Tour" today.
A really enjoyable 140 miles, though only about 25 of them were in the Wye Valley, with a good few in the spectacular Brecon Beacons, or Bannau Brycheiniog as the area is now known.

I polished a very nasty looking scratch off the top of the passenger door today, I wasnt sure if it would polish out but in the end didnt take long.

I do like a nice CV8, and that is a very nice CV8, having driven Felix's a few years ago, if I had my time again or won the lottery, I would opt for one over an Interceptor. My problem is I love my MK1, it now has so many great memories for me, I could never sell it, I can't afford 2 Jensens, so happy just to dream. Ironically when I was looking for an Interceptor, childhood memories were strong, I wanted a Mk 2 or 3, but finances meant I had to go with what I could afford, and my MK1 was just a good deal, now prefer it over a MK2 or 3, they're just purer.
Massive grin on my face every time I drive it, even after 10 years of ownership.

I was at Copredy Bridge to see the progress on my SP - in my 1966 Morris Cooper S ( and was spurised by a chap arriving in a 1964 Morris Cooper S )
And believe it or not I ran into Jasper Terdu from Holland and we had a good lunch together in the pub nearby (BTW: Thanks Jasper, the next one is on me )

That is quite a journey in a Mini. You must have been bloody knackered.
I was driving a 1959 Austin 7 (Mini), owned by the parents of a friend, to the winter sports in Austria 58 years ago, and I swore afterwards that I would never drive a Mini again, which I didn't. Many years later I tried its successor, the Metro, which wasn't much better.
