Drive it Day 2024.

Post by TJG »

Has anyone got any plans for this in the Cotswolds area for Drive it Day? I was planning on going to the Classic Motor Hub near Bibury (ticket event but still available) in the morning and then heading over to Hightone Restorations in Oxfordshire late morning / lunchtime. It’s a fabulous drive & both interesting places. If any of Jensen’s finest wanted to join me shout & we can meet up.

Much as I'd love to, I have friends coming for lunch that day, so I'm tied up

I'm off to Notcutts Garden Centre for a drive out organised by the Cowley Classic Car Club guys. Been a couple of times. Should be fun

Life on the wild side, eh? Sounds like great fun, with the bonus chance to come back with a trowel and a trug!

I enjoyed an excellent blast in the Interceptor for Drive it Day, bonus being sunny and dry!
Hope other members were out and about in our magnificent cars,
cheers,

We could not make it out to the Cotswolds, or even as far as Slough, but we are out and about in the Interceptor!

It always generates a lot of comment!

We are in Ajo, Arizona!

Oxfordshire vs Arizona?

No big snakes in Oxfordshire just excessive rain. (Photos taken between deluges!)

Hmmm, depends how you define "big".
A female grass snake can grow to 1.3m or just over 4 feet, which is pretty big in my book!
However, they won't kill you :D

Weather was kind and had a fabulous drive, I love this road, for those that watch Harry's Garage or No27 on youtube they use this a lot for their test drives.

One week on.
Anybody see the extensive coverage of numerous events and cars in Classic Car Weekly?
If you did, did you spot the Jensen Interceptor hiding in plain sight within the photos?

Nice pictures, everyone!

It is nice weather here…. I would say “warm and sunny”…. The heat is still on its way.

Thanks for the compliments on the cactus.

Actually, that is an “Organ Pipe” cactus, and this relatively small National monument is the only place in the US that they grow naturally. They are fairly common to our south in Mexico…. (Minor bit of trivia).
