"The opportunity to purchase one of these cars is very rare, just 12 cars are understood to remain in the UK "
Really?
Really?

Hi Peter and Grant, how many RHD convertibles do you think there are left if this statement is not right?
Thanks
Graham
Thanks

Graham..I have no idea..but I know personally of about 12 myself and I obviously don't know all of them that are remaining in the Uk, so I'm sticking with my "Cods Wallop" statement

Re: Int convertible at Historics auction OND 336P 2340/9879
The text (i think) does not specify RHD cars only. There are those who have tried to track all convertibles over the years and the most up to date view is probably here: https://www.jensencars.be/int.%20mk%20i ... 01099.html
Some of the RHD 2340 chassis numbers are certainly abroad now and one or two have been destroyed or stolen but many more LHD cars have returned to the UK. Like Grant, I could think of well over a dozen....including at least three RHD cars that haven't been on the road for more than a decade.

Thanks for the replies guys. Seems a shame there are some of these rare models languishing in barns somewhere.

My convertible, 2340-1840, is I'm told, one of the 12 RHD convertibles with the "Walnut dash" based on research done by James Barnes. James moved to NZ bringing his car (we've not met) meaning there are 2 of the 12 here now.

Re: Int convertible at Historics auction OND 336P 2340/9879
Ahh..that's where the "12" figure has come from then I guess..Strange as "OND" isn't one of those 12 either as it has the earlier dash

Re: Int convertible at Historics auction OND 336P 2340/9879
Walnut dash on RHD convertibles started at about chassis 1740 according to Calver and there were 9 RHD cars listed after that plus at least 4 S4 RHD convertibles chassis 2002, 2004, 2005 &2012 which had a walnut dash...so James may well be right. Many have been retro fitted to confuse the picture further.

Bid to £43k only on the day. Not sold yet unless, as the auctioneer put it, "you come to your senses and bid what it is worth"..+..." the coolest car in the room".
