Glovebox keep

Hi, a bit of a random one, but, my dashboard is missing (amongst many other parts) the glovebox keep (that the latch for the glove box catches onto). Would anyone have this or a destroyed dash that it could be obtained from? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like this is what you need. I have one (no charge if you want it) but it is far from bright and shiney. It could be painted or used as a pattern for a stainless replacement....although so little of it shows. when in situ. PM me if interested with a drop off location and I will arrange to get it to you. I hope the project is making good progress.

Out of interest : did this came off a MK3 ?
Does anybody know what was fitted to a MK2 originally ? The same ?

I think this was a Mk3 yes. The Mk2 version has a different part number so presumably not the same design. I don't know when the change occurred (2 vent to 4 vent??) but neither of them are available from Robey anymore.

Hi Peter,

This is incredibly kind of you and very much appreciated! I'm not worried about how it looks, it's an item that is rarely seen and my car will be closer to the "used and abused" rather than the concourse end of the classic motoring scale!
