Jim, it is quite remarkable that about 40 cars or more pop up every year ( in all types of condition) , the DVLA only knows of 928 examples

A slight problem with advising on all surviving Interceptors
My basic Excel Spreadsheet now extends to nearly 60,000 lines and close to 90,000 lines if i then include details of all JOC Members that i am aware of

Although all of my information has been collated from information available to anyone that cares to look, there appear to be some issues with Data Protection
I could remove telephone numbers etc but this would take some time

I have raised with the JOC how i could make the Spreadsheet fully accessibility to all JOC Members, but in the meantime i will respond to anyone on individual cars
I started my investigation about 5 years ago to try to understand how many cars still survived
Far more that i had been led to believe

By recording as much information as i reasonably can on all cars, hopefully this information will be retained for the future and future owners - rather than potentially being lost forever

If you just wanted a list of all Chassis Nos that i have identified - i have a separate spreadsheet that i could send you if you send me a PM

I continue to thank everyone that continues to keep me advised on all Interceptors
At the recent NEC Classic Car Show at the Nec in Birmingham this year - where i displayed my car on the JOC stand, as i had my laptop to hand i was available to answer questions on some 30+ cars and also able to fill in some history on some cars as well as being provided with some history that i did not have

In investigating all Interceptor's, i have created a number of spreadsheets, included one that provides information on cars that i have not been able to link to a specific Chassis Number and another where i have Registration Numbers that i have not been able to link to specific Chassis Numbers
This latter Spreadsheet initially had over 600 Registration Numbers but i have managed to track down over 350 of these

I have started Spreadsheets on all of the other Jensen models but these are in their infancy and i am aware that other Club Members also recoding specific models
Again i have started these as i have come across adverts and articles - some of which date back more than 40 years

Great to see that you retain your interest in the cars

I did have a record of this car being on SORN in March 2020
Prior to that it was on the JOC Forum 18.10.2014 and had previously been taxed up until 11.2013
So probably has been off the road since then
KGY 2 K is the car's original registration number and is Chassis No 128/4278 Ex Factory 18.10.71 - less than 2 months before your old car

From what can be seen of this Car John(I know very little) it looks a nice car, I know the arch seems to have gone and I'm sure alot more that we can't see, but the body does look good..too good to be sitting in a container condensating regularly aye

Is the Wanaker museum the one with the Migs outside?

Sarah spotted the Interceptor as we were driving past so we had to visit. I managed it so that our trip coincided with a Jensen meet in Hamilton, it was wonderful to see the cars in the original 70s colours, seems like most of the brown cars in the UK have been resprayed Brienze blue

From the photos i assumed that the colour was still the original Claret and referred to in the Chassis Data Book as a Special Paint - perhaps it was for a Mk 111
