The science of CO2 absorbing heat is not new, it is over 150 years old. Scientists in the 1850s discovered that CO2 absorbs heat and even then suggested that if there was more CO2 in the atmosphere the temperature would rise.
Chris, you with your crazy imaginations.
CO2 has no SIGNIFICANT effect because it's effect quickly tapers off on a logarithmic scale and nobody can tell you what %age of CO2 there SHOULD be in the atmosphere but it's presently at 0.042%.
And just like that AH1951 debunks over 150 years of scientific study, without conducting any experimentation of his own to prove or disprove that statement. Studies and experimentation that were made long before climate change became a discussion point.
The effect of CO2 in the atmosphere was known since the 1850s. In the 1950s the effects of pouring gases into the atmosphere became apparent with the awful London smogs that killed people.
Look up Look up Eunice Newton Foote (1856).
Look up Svante Arrhenius, "On the Influence of Carbonic Acid in the Air upon the Temperature of the Ground" published in the Journal of Science in 1896.

How very sad that our beloved Jensens have now been subjected to this EV rot. What a terrible debacle. Total tragedy

The research and theories at the time did point towards water vapour as the key, as is thought today. He does refer to that, although he did not agree apparently. Today CO2 is seen as influencing the level of water vapour, it is not CO2 in iitself that is the issue. But as I wrote further up when the absorption and release i e recirculation of CO2 from sea and land is not fully understood drawing conclusions on a high precision level is meaningless. Add the influence of deforrestation (33% lost since 1850 which is the starting point of the CO2 statement) and urbanisation on water vapour which is underrated comparing to recent Brazilian research.

The London smog was about particles, not CO2.
