Time to say goodbye
Time to say goodbye
Hi all It's the time has come to sell my J series 72 MK3 Interceptor the reg plate is not included it will go back on its L reg plate.
The speedo reading 87600 witch may go up due to test drives own insurance required.
The colour is indigo blue wth a black vinyl roof with magnolia leather piped in blue.
It's now been sat in the garage now for well over three years covid did not help so it's time to sell and let some one else enjoy it.
Its in a heated garage
It's been started from time to time but not only out on the road for short runs.
It's had lots of modern upgrades oil cooler on engine and gearbox.
New inlet manifold with a Holley double pumper carb all set up at John Sleath rolling road so returns very good MPG 18 at 70mph.
A facet red top per primer pump to make for first starting.
It has a steel Holladia electric sun roof. Cost £500.00 expensive option for back then.
Both electric windows have the updated drive cogs plastics with steel spring not rubber.
Most of the bulbs and LED with electronic flasher units.
Chrome 90 amp alternator and a fast wind starter motor.
Remote alarm with central locking
Kenwood radio with iPhone connectivity to a Nokia hands free phone kit.
Gas adjusted spax on the front and air rides on the back handy when all loaded up.
You can set the ride height to level the car no matter the load.
All the front end has been poly bushed with new top and bottom ball joints.
Steering rack has been rebuilt with new gators and ball joints
All the under side component has been stripped off the car and shot blasted and painted then build back up with stainless steel but not the suspension.
The wheel bearing where replaced after the Germany trip due to a rotation noise.
All new rubber on the exhaust silencers and rear end rod and springs.
All horses under the bonnet for the coolant system have been replaced for silicone.
Uprated fans two run of the original otter switch the other two on a separate one in the top hose. Four ten blade fans in total.
All stainless flexible hoses on the engine and gearbox as well as the brakes lines.
All new copper brake lines underneath though out.
New brake fluid reservoirs and a master cylinder. Brakes bleed two years ago.
Recon gearbox and converter old one was wining fitted about three years all flushed and new oil.
It comes with a full history file and a factory note from Robeys
There will be loads I have forgotten to list
The car is quite well know in the club and shown itself to be very reliable on a lot of the long trips abroad and in the U.K LaMans Germany Ypres Scandinavian Cornwall and Scotland.
It also gone to the last twelve international and done quite good in the concourse.

Re: Time to say goodbye
Mate- Very sorry to lose you, proper people, proper uber enthusiast and champion literally of our marque.
If anyone asks for any leads, I shall put them your way, as yours is a proper car (yes proper, but proper is, proper does!) I can say if you were looking for a keeper, Brendan's ride is a car I'd be mega happy to keep.
Another huge loss to our fold- I will miss the concour, feeling guilty you and your little-en (ob not little any more!) putting so much joy and love into polishing the granny out of, what is a prime specimen.
All the very best mate.

Re: Time to say goodbye
So sorry to hear the Jensen will be going Brendan. However, if it's only sitting and not getting used, I can understand.
It's a great car which with only a little work on that front (or is the rear?) wing, sounds like a great buy for anyone.
We miss you Brendan !
