Jensen S-Type Chassis S4
I'm sure that those of you who spent the Christmas holidays poring over their newly-acquired Jensen Genome will be burning to know what the early Jensen S-Type Saloon chassis S4 from 1936 registered COL 866 actually looked like! Well here''s the only known picture of it, taken around 1957 in Ipswich, I believe. First registered in November 1936, it was originally black with pigskin upholstery. It's not known to have survived and I don't know it's history but maybe someone else on the forum does?

A handsome car for sure.
My first thoughts were - what the hell with that strange roof antenna?!?! Then I saw the similar lamp post a bit further on

If only there was some way we could read more about these models...
Oh wait, David Davies has published "Jensen: The Surviving 3 1/2 & 4 1/4 Litre Cars" which is packed full of info and VERY readable too.

David Davies has published "Jensen: The Surviving 3 1/2 & 4 1/4 Litre Cars" ... and its incredibly good value too! I hesitate to say cheap, but certainly value for money.
