Enfield Pageant

Post by VFK44 »

Glorious weather today, but the only Jensen I could find was Jim Smith's, which was the wrong side of a fence having been barred from entering. Had a good conversation through the fence holes!

Hi all

Arrived at 1 30 pm for this show but unfortunately was not allowed access after 1.00 pm
Decided to park in the main car park, near to the perimeter fence and the pedestrian route
Many people came up and spoke to me about my car including other Jensen owners, including Rob Hunt and Dennis Dyke - good to speak to you
It appears that there were no other Interceptors at the show

Allowed a number of people including a number of young children - one called Jensen - to sit in my car and i continued to promote our cars
Hopefully some of these will become owners and members in the future

Regards

Jim Smith

Hello Jim,

Good meet and chat with you yesterday for a while.

Your MkIII is lovely with a stunning original interior! Little Jens0n loved it too, excuse the closed eyes (bright sunshine).

Cheers,

Lawrence

Steve Hodder used to arrange a Jensen presence and a few of us would turn up but since he's moved and now with a young family he's not done it and no one else has picked up the mantle to organise anything.

He's dreaming of a future when he owns his own Jensen...

This may be the last Pageant in Enfield as next year it will be within the £12.50 Low Emission Zone.

The exhibits will be exempt, but attendees with older everyday cars may be deterred from attending. Do they just turn their back on these people, or move the show elsewhere after 50 or so years?

The jury is still out.
