My Mk II Interceptor 123/4229 was first registered to Sir Hugh Frazer, then chairman of House of Frazer, with the registration number HOF1. I managed to find the number and reunite it with the car

Re: 123/4229 reunited with HOF1
did DVLA free issue HOF 1 to the car, because that was what it originally was placed on the car from new ??
on its own the number plate is probably the same value as the car

Sadly no free issue and I wish that it was only the same value as the car

well its very admirable to re-unite the plate with the car after 50 odd years - kudos to you
