JOC Tour of the Cotswolds and Herefordshire Borders. 15/16th May CANCELLED

Post by Fishyboy »

Hi all,
Paul Hogan took on the role of organising JOC driving tours for club last year.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of numbers no tours took place. This year Paul has organised four separate tours details of which appeared ion the last (Jan/Feb 2023) Magazine.

In order to drum up support for these tours I have offered to publicise the tours on the Forum.

As the tours are located in geographical different area of the UK will hopefully be something for everybody.

Please support Paul in his endeavors on behalf of the JOC.

Tour - Tour of the Cotswolds and Herefordshire Borders. 15/16th May or 22nd/23rd May 2023.

This tour starts and finishes near Tewkesbury so it’s central location and being located just off the M5 and M50 motorways should appeal to a wide membership. The tour includes a two-night stay in the Puckrup Hall Hotel (https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/bhxphh ... ewkesbury/) and includes access to the leisure facilities there (18 hole golf course, indoor pool, beauty treatment at Schmoo Skincare and a fitness center).
.
The provisional dates Paul has are 15th May/16th or the 22nd/23rd May 2023, which will avoid all of the expected holiday traffic. Day one will start with a tour of the border country stopping in Ludlow for refreshments before returning to our hotel for a three-course evening meal. On day two we will tour some of the lesser known places in the Cotswolds avoiding the honeypot places like Burton on the Water, but still giving everyone a flavour of what the area has to offer.

Prices are likely to be £425 per car for two people sharing a room, dependent upon the level of interest. Price includes two night’s stay with dinner, bed & breakfast, road book and rally plaque. Single rooms are available.

Please feel free to express an interest either here on the Forum or by contacting Paul directly at tours@joc.org.uk.[/b]

Hi all,
I have now booked on this tour but we still need more people to book.

At the moment we need a few more people to confirm in order to make the event viable.

Paul has some flexibility with the dates and could possibly shift to a weekend around the date mentioned above, if that was more popular.

Please support Paul with th lis tour he has organised.

Hi Wil
That is fantastic news. Have you made contact with Paul Hogan yet who is organising the JOC Tours? His email is tours@joc.org.uk.
What colour did you end up painting your interceptor?

I live in the Cotswolds so wouldn't need the hotels but would be interested in joining for a day if that is possible.

I'm sorry to hear too and would've probably booked but it clashes with unforeseen travels for me.
