London Motor Show Magazines

Post by Jenfan »

I came across the magazines I had from various London Motor Shows during the 1960's & 1970's. I don't have every year but have a good selection. They show pictures of most of the cars on display so I'll post the pictures of the various Jensen models. Sadly most of them don't show the registration numbers. It's interesting to see the prices! I don't think the cars in the photos are necessarily the ones displayed at the show. The ones below are from the 1961 & 1964 publications.

Sadly by the 1976 publication all sign of Jensen had disappeared from the pages

Published by the Daily Mail and Daily Express. I bought one every year from 1962 until the 70s.
2/- and 2/6d to anyone old enough to remember 'olde money'.

I remember being staggered at the attractiveness of the '62 Buick Riviera and the '66 Oldsmobile Toronado which were nominally available in GB.
If only I'd spent more time doing my homework rather than ogling over these.
