For those who like the added "bling"....

Dash tops are usually black for a good reason but each to their own.

Just 26-38K !!! That is a cheap car for what seems a high quality vehicle. Is this the current market price for truely quality cars? Does it need some upholstery work? If it goes even for top quoted price some one will be very lucky. I now await the sting of learning hidden problems. Are there any?? Kenny38

I thought the same Kenny. Albeit just an impression from looking at the bodywork via my laptop.

Always a matter of personal taste, but the first thing I’d do is swap the dash for an original one - along with a Jensen quality subtle coloured leather interior. Costly, but I’d like to think it would take it to another level/value.

That said, I do hope it sells for more than the ‘come and get me estimate’ as someone’s clearly lavished a lot of love and money on the car already, by the looks of it.

Hopefully some "who knows" will come along but I didn't think Clark Gable actually owned a Jensen.
I thought that him stand beside the car was just publicity.
Only working half a day now.

According to Gable's father whom I knew well Clark did order a Jensen but never followed through but did a PR job for the dealer as a sort of "sorry". That's what Clark's father told me anyway. Shame he's dead now. Kenny38

That's a great looking car and I like the interior mods. All look like they were done to a very high standard. My only thing is that silly flex upper hose. Boy does that ruin that engine compartment! Coil overs front and rear? Maybe that's why it sits too high! If it was LHD and local I would bid on it. :)

The top hose is what Robey's currently sell...and apart from the appearance it is too long for the application and cannot be shortened enough to stop it curving in the way shown. I have more of an issue with the colour co-ordinated air cleaner, fuse box lid and rad header tank.....but personal taste I guess...not to mention the blue HT leads routed over the exhaust manifolds and the blue power steering (?) hoses and white rubber flaps on the rad fan housing (why?). Overall though, and from what we can see, a nice car. We have been spoilt by other auction sites in recent times with underside pictures which will really confirm if this car is all "Show" or worthy of a decent sales value.

I have posted this before for the upper hose just order a Gates 22043 hose or another brand interchange. Fits perfect after you trim some off. :)
