Tuesday 16th August 2022 Southern Area Meeting

Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday August 16th.

We’re proposing that we meet in the Car Park of the Railway Station at Alresford, leaving at 6.30pm on a short drive to the White Horse (also known locally as the Pub with No Name).
Members can, if they prefer, make their own way there.

6.30 pm Railway Car Park, Station Road, Alresford, SO24 9JG

7.00pm The White Horse, Priors Dean, GU32 1DA

This is a format we used some years ago which was well supported. A couple of points to note - the Railway Station is just for the Watercress Line, so it’s a fairly quiet location. The White Horse has a good range of beers, good food, very spacious car park. It’s an easy drive from Alresford.

Please indicate whether you’ll be joining us and once I get an indication of numbers, we can determine if it’s viable to proceed and I can let the Pub know, thank you.

This Meeting is confirmed and we hope to have at least 10 Jensens attending. By the way all JOC members, including those without Jensens currently are welcome to attend.
I’ve been in in contact with the Pub who know we’re coming and are happy for us to use the field adjacent to their car park, we’ve done this before and it worked well.
I’ve NOT made any table reservations for supper, so suggest we play by ear on arrival, but feel free to contact the Pub directly if you wish.

If the weather is fine we will come along, but it is rather a long way from Wembley and we intend to combine this with a day out possibly at Queen Elizabeth Park, Waterlooville, which won't be much fun in the wet. The SP will get a bit of a work out with the Ace Cafe on Saturday, Cranleigh on Sunday and your meet on Tuesday. Think I'll have to fill up once or twice!!

Hi all,
Edward Brown has informed me that we might be expecting up to 12 Jensen's at this Tuesday's JOC Southern area meet. 12 would be our highest turnout for quite a while

Hi all,
A few photos from last nights JOC Southern Area meeting.

This was the the first post-Covid meeting after the cancellation of our first planned meeting earlier this summer. Despite the torrential rain leading up to the meeting 10 Jensens met up at Alresford Railway Station before driving off to the nearby "Pub with no name" for drinks, food and a chat.

I am sure Edward Brown will post some more photos from the pub part of the meet.

Many thanks for Edward for organising the event and we look forward to some more events in the near future.
