Re: 1967 Interceptor 117-2595 (Sincar) for sale in Sweden
The car was registered in 1975, but taken off the road in October 1986.
The current owner was registered in 2008, when he took over the car officially.
That information is no problem to get officially:
In Sweden, we do not have much paperwork on our cars, have no clue if documentation of this car has survived in storage. As all the signs and logos are there, I would think that the documents must sit soemwhere as well (but I do not know, have never seen the car in real life). Administration of cars is done almost completely digital for quite some time now, the basic information above is taken from the national registry, this little bit of the car's history is documented : )

Re: 1967 Interceptor 117-2595 (Sincar) for sale in Sweden
We got the more complete story to the car now:
The roof and bonnet has been walked on by an intruder to the premises, so they are dented.
The car has been stored partly disassembled for the last 20 years, the chassis partly in a carport / the gearage. It duly is rusty but not thoroughly / beyond repair, according to the owner.
The interior has been stored indoors and is in good order - see photos. According to the owner the car should be complete, even though the parts have been stored in different places. He is not able to vouch for that or garantee it as he has never worked onm the car hmself, really.
The motor has been fully restored and blueprinted by the previous owner.
The owner wants to sell the car before the winter comes, as the car cannot be moved once the snow is back (Sundsvall is a bit further up North it is stored out of town).
He can collect all parts of the car in a garage for seriously interested people to look through, he himself has no advanced knowledge of the car itself, as he interited the project.
He wants the car to have a future and for that is has to be taken care of, and he cannot do that himself.
The full version of the car's story is attached - in Swedish, it's a pdf and I do not understand where it has been uploaded to, hope, you can see it. It's the story of a massive friendship between the original restorer and the current owner of the car - seems enough for a feature film, actually.
If you are seriously interested in a restoration project Sincar, please contact Thord Hall: sundsvall.audio@telia.com

Here is the full story, in slightly dented English - it is a story worth reading!
About the car, its current condition, and the friendship that put it into the hands of the current owner: it explains, why he wants the car to get in good hands now.

Thord Hall is the owner, he is away from keyboard for a little now, but you can reach him on his mobile:
+46 70 - 566 37 17
Sweden's time zone is GMT +1, so if you ring from the States or other fancy places, be kind : )

What a great story of a long friendship starting with a Jensen, thanks for sharing it.

I agree Dave a great story. My red Mk2 was in Sweden when I bought it. Here I it when it was yellow. I have a history folder that’s full of information in Swedish .Wonder how many Jensens are in Sweden.

I do like the personal history that comes with a car, my Interceptor was restored by Cropredy in the early 80s and I have a letter from them to the owner and written on the back is a message from his wife telling him his dinner is in the oven and how to reheat it.

I actually spoke to the man who first owned my car a year ago. He was still sharp as a razor and called me back to tell me a few things about the car and how hot it got on trip to the races one year. He said he had three interceptors. Think he is in his 80’s

Re: 1967 Interceptor 117-2595 (Sincar) for sale in Sweden
great stuff, Karan!! We are working on this! Officially, there were 176 Jensens in Sweden in January, might not have happened much since then.
Would you maybe be so kind as to scan or photograph the full article with the yellow Interceptor in and mail to jakob.dittmar@mau.se - that would be lovely!
By way of compensation, he can help with some summarily translations of Swedish stuff in your folder, let him know, he is quite good at that : )
We are currently trying to get together some more on Jensen in Sweden: a summary of what we found out so far is on Jakob's page: http://jakob-dittmar.eu/heritage.html and we try to keep the JOC updated via the extra thread hidden under European Areas: https://www.joc.org.uk/forum/viewtopic. ... 51&t=30545
Best regards, Berthold & Jakob

Great, thank you!
The Swedish Jensen Drivers' Club closed down long ago. It seems that some flexibility on chassis-numbers with the import of FFs and Interceptors to Sweden caused quite a stirr and some profound dis-agreements over which the club stopped working. Trying to find out more about that, currently...

The car was sold within Sweden now to somebody who owns another Jensen already.
