It is an SRD engine.(service replacement D series) Very early as it has the "Austin" script on the off side.(pre 1955) .
It has standard sized pistons then Austin would probably have sleeved the cylinders.
Crank has been re ground .020".
However as it is a recon engine, it might not have had too many miles on it before removal.
You can just make out some of the light green metallic paint that the recon engines were coated with.

Hi Mike would the cam be the same as the Jensen .

The cam should be the same as the DS5 engine. (DS7 I believe is different.)

It is unlikely that this engine was ever fitted to a 541S as suggested in the ad. The oil filter head is missing the swan necked adaptor and the engine mounts are a different shape. Is there a chance this could be pre DS5 ?

It has the normal push rods. The very early engines had different push-rods with a spring loaded cup. (circa 1950)
