I only came across this today.
And when I learned what it is, I was surprised that I had never heard of it before.

I have the name "Fireball X-15" in my head, but that was a Gerry Anderson (Thunderbirds) vehicle wasn't it?

Ah no, looking at the tailfin it was apparently XL5. The quest to wake up my memory cells continues.

I'm also hearing "BMC" and "Styling competition". Must consult "All the Models" to see if Jensen was involved with building this prototype - it was just up their street if I remember rightly.

That's the Pinin Farina GT take on the A-H 3000.
It did win a competition but for the German/Austrian/Swiss version of Auto Year magazine I think.

Gatsonides was also the inventor of the 'Gatso' camera which we all know and fear.

Apparently his wife was caught speeding but denied that she was doing so.
He then invented the speed camera so this injustice would not be perpetrated.
Unfortunately this moral indignation was rendered futile when the Gatso users decided to use it a means of generating income.
His cars didn't look much better than his other invention.
