Maseratis:
A 3500 GT, which was styled by Touring of Milan, just like the Interceptor. Keith Hudson, of the JOC, restored a lovely hardtop version which was styled almost identically by Vignale!
And a Bora; you can tell it is not the smaller engined Merak because the flying buttresses have glass in them.

Spotted in Exeter today,

Car is local to me but I never get a chance to take a proper snap.

Lovely condition , must be rare now.

I adore Alfas... And the Montreal is one of my most coveted.
I've only ever seen one in the metal. Surprisingly small.

When I first moved to Epping there was a regularly used Montreal parked in a side road near me, amongst the Mondeos and Montegos. Guess which route I used to walk up to the High Street!

They look great, go well, but steering is a bit woolly.
It was ZF recirculating ball. or something like that. and despite having the steering box rebuilt the best i could get was about 1/2 inch of play at the wheel.
It was one of the few RHD ones and I kept it for a couple of years in the late 70's, if the steering had been as good as the rest, I would still have it.
Instead got an Esprit Turbo, chalk and cheese but also got 9 points in as many months.

Spotted this 1933 Bugatti driving through Exeter today.

Heading to a small revival , when I came upon Dave Pearce (DPP)

Although bigger than a Lotus it was dwarfed by a Pontiac LeMans.

Spotted these two today. The scruffy but daily driver Capri which I see regularly in Newport, then the Audi in Pontypridd.
I chatted with the owner of the very smart Audi at the petrol station... It's smart condition all the more remarkable as it's been the owners daily driver since new, 30 years ago.

I forgot to ask on Wednesday:. Whose yellow MkIII Interceptor did I pass in Theydon Bois, Essex? Great engine note.

This is a photo of a Jensen Interceptor that I found on Glen Fairweather’s Flickr account (and posted here with his permission)

There are thousands of photos, mainly of the UK between 1950 and 1980, with many views of roads with interesting cars; see, for example, the comments on an Aston Martin DB2

Many years ago, my wife and I were playing a board game where one of the questions was, "if your partner was a car, what would they be?"
Thinking of the car pictured below, I replied "an old VW Polo, because you're nicely shaped, reliable and unpretentious". This apparently was NOT the right answer and things were quite frosty for a while.

Hint to other Forum members: just say Rolls-Royce or Ferrari, and move on quickly.
