I think it was called a Railton. (There was a prewar Railton very much in the style of a Jensen, with a big American engine).

It does not look to bad but for those headlights. Otherwise a bit bland, but fairly neat.

My word, that really is hideous. The hard top version looked "OK" but, this drop-top.... :shock:

completley agree Martin. It looks slightly less hideous when it loses the dreadful rear wheel cowl (excuse the crude cut & paste):

They somehow look quite different although similar but, I stand by my comment that the blue one is hideous.
It's possibly marginally better with Andy's cut and past removal of the rear wheel cover...

I keep seeing citron DS - maybe it is just the rear wheel covers.

I believe the little slits for the headlights were for use at night, during the blitz.

I have an XJS as a daily driver, and will definitely not be converting over.

why thank you I try. I also noted the Freudian slip where I mistakenly miss-spelt Citroen implying it was a lemon. :lol:
