Trip to Normandy 2020

Post by zacmarshall »

Shaun and I have been talking about having a few days touring the Normandy D-Day beaches before heading to classic Le Mans.

The provisional plan is to head over to Normandy on Saturday 27th June and have a few days touring Normandy, take in some D-Day sites and maybe visit Bayeux, then drop down to the Manoir de l'Automobile at Loheac before heading over to Le Mans for Friday 3rd July (maybe the Thursday night).

https://www.manoir-automobile.fr/home/

We will join the JOC group at Le Mans organised by John Donegan, you could also join Zac Zacaroli's group or just do your own thing.

Anyone interested in joining us?

Hi Zac
I will certainly join you for all or part of the visit and as we said in LeMans last year I am very happy to assist with the organisation locally. I have send a message also to our normal LeMans group and our Northern France members.
We have several members who live not far from Loheac so that would possibly be a good venue for a meet.

Hi Zac, keep us posted on developments with this, we've been several times in the caravan with the children and never tire to visit such a somber piece of our nation's proud history. We may not go to le mans either but will keep an open mind at the moment.
Best regards, Simon and Alison.

Hello Shaun we are interested. There was talk at the international about a possible trip to Denmark. Do you think that might come off?

With regard to a trip to Denmark, this would be in the hands of our Scandinavian colleagues. As far as I know no one from the UK is organising anything in that direction for 2020.
