from the 150 100% positive endorsements he seems an OK Guy so I have asked for details of the car or previous owner. :D

I have also noted it on my spreadsheet :) for future reference

I think that's naïve. It's not the seller that would be responsible for any misuse. The seller is emphasising that the V5 is LIVE. Possession of this V5 is an encouragement to put a car on the road under a false identify. If you look at the rest of the registration documents on sale most are in the couple of hundred range except for a Mini Cooper (another valuable car) which is priced at £2,500. I suggest this document and picture should be put on the Mk1 site to ensure that nothing appears under this mark.

Sorry Chris I couldn't find the tongue in cheek smilie to add to my post. Obviously a poor attempt at sarcasm.

I have highlighted the chassis number in my spreadsheet with a note should it ever appear in future. I will also create a page for the chassis number on the site but will hold off publishing it to see if I get a reply. if no reply I will publish as Scrapped until further info is available.

AL1 have listed it as SCRAPPED

That field is "Date of Registration", not date of first registration. You also need to read Note 2 which explains the dates.
