Hello, can anyone recommend a specialist in Poland or Czech Republic
to do a complete new wire of a Jensen Interceptor Convertible?
Thank you!
Best

Szymon Rajwa, he is the JOC area rep. for Poland. He is present in this forum too.

Starting a rewire is an easy way to end up with an endless project, as you uncover every single bit of rust, stuck screws, dodgy trim on the car. When I get a Jensen I like to simply clean every connector, ground and earth on the entire car, and checking all switches at the same time. Amazing what starts to work after doing that, how bright lights are etc.

I tend to agree with your suggestion, but renewing the engine bay harness is a necessity usually.johnw wrote:Starting a rewire is an easy way to end up with an endless project, as you uncover every single bit of rust, stuck screws, dodgy trim on the car. It can be difficult to get the balance right agreed. I had a VW Lupo catch fire, some hours after being parked up by me, due to a faulty indicator stalk it seems. Standard VW wiring. Original radio. Flames, smoke, dash, instruments, steering wheel, headlining all melted and the windscreen cracked with the heat. Luckily all the windows were shut and the fire went out. I don't see how this can be possible with the VW fuse layout but it happened. Imagine if a child was left in the car.Han Kamp wrote:I tend to agree with your suggestion, but renewing the engine bay harness is a necessity usually.johnw wrote:Starting a rewire is an easy way to end up with an endless project, as you uncover every single bit of rust, stuck screws, dodgy trim on the car. I use these battery isolator switches that fit on a battery terminal. One "in car" switch would be interesting, though I have not seen one on an Interceptor.
